Instructions
  1. Melt the chocolate chips in the microwave for 30 seconds at a time, stirring between heating times, until almost completely melted.
  2. Add the nut butter to the bowl and microwave again for 10 seconds. Stir to combine the chocolate and nut butter thoroughly.
  3. Add two pinches of salt to the chocolate and nut butter and blend well.
  4. Add the chow mein noodles or pretzels and carefully stir them to coat with chocolate. This might take a few minutes, but eventually the noodles will be coated.
  5. Spoon the chocolate coated noodles into the muffin tin, being mindful of leaving an indentation in the center.
  6. Once the nests have been shaped, place the muffin tin into the refrigerator for about 10 minutes to harden the nests. Remove the tin from the fridge and use a small spoon to carefully get under one edge of the nest and coax it out of the pan.
  7. Place all nests onto a platter or plate as you remove them from the pan. Once all have been placed on the platter, put them into the refrigerator for 5 more minutes or until you serve the nests. Add jelly beans or your favorite candy/treat to the nests before serving.
