I love these two soy dipping sauces served with Chinese or East Asian cuisine. Great for dipping dumplings, veggies, and as a sauce for delectable scallion pancakes.
Both of these sauces are quick and easy, made from ingredients you probably have in your refrigerator. You don’t really need all of the ingredients – just take a few of them and combine them to suit your taste!
These are fun sauces, but use them as a jumping off recipe to create your own unique dips.

- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon grated ginger
- 1 clove garlic or about 1/2 teaspoon
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 scallion or green onion sliced thin
- 1 tablespoon water
- 2 teaspoons rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds roasted
- 1 pinch red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon sugar

- For each recipe, blend all ingredients together until sugar is dissolved. Enjoy with your favorite Chinese or East Asian foods!
- Cover and refrigerate any leftover sauce. Use within 3 to 4 days.
